I still believe in Sanchez and willing to give him this year to prove it. We still draft a legit QB in round 3 that would develop for a year. My biggest want is to add starting guards and build this offensive line up with power. If we build up front, our running game and passing game will improve.

You can beat a lot of teams with strong Olines & good defensive front 7s.
If Hill can take a huge step this offseason, a trio of Holmes, Hill, Kerley & maybe Edwards is at least good enough as long as the Jets get another RB in this draft like Lacy or The kid from Stanford.
I want Idzik to go into this draft with 2 year mindset!
1st year, this draft, soldify the trenches, that's where the real talent is in this draft.
OLB, OL, or Star, that's the only way they should be looking at this.
Every year there are vets that get cut that can add experience & depth to a team.
In 2009 & 2010 the Jets were very much like the 49ers up front on offense.
Just think about how good that Oline was, they literally carried Sanchez Azz to 2 AFCCGs!
Of course our defense had a lot to do with that too. Now that we have seen the REAL Sanchez, what could an average QB do if we build the Oline into a powerhouse again?
Someone like Moore could probably hold the fort, or maybe even Macelroy?
Give Mac, a good running back, a more complicated Marty screen game, and who knows how many games you can win in 2013.
In 2014, this is when you go all offense with LB, safety sprinkled in.
If they Jets can get a 1st this year from say Tampa & another pick in 2014 they would have an excellent chance at rebuilding while giving us fans something to cheer for.
I want an Oline that when they get in he redzone they can punch u right in the face & dominate.

Jets Starting QB next yr? Sanchez isn't going anywhere. Draft someone in the 1st 3 rounds and let that guy compete for the starting job. I would like to see EJ Manuel picked in round 3. He's a project but has tons of potential. Bringing in Tarvaris Jackson for camp wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Jets starting RB next yr? Powell with McKnight as the #2. Pick up another RB in the mid-late rounds.

Jets starting TE next yr? Sign Jared Cook or Martellus Bennett to a cheap deal. Keep Cumberland and draft another TE (Michael Williams, Alabama) in the 5th/6th round.

Jets starting WR's next yr? Holmes, Edwards, Kerley, Hill are a decent group IMO. Not exactly Rice/Taylor... but they're good enough for right now. If Cordarrelle Patterson is available in the 2nd, I'll take him.

Jets starting CB's next yr? Revis and Cromartie. Find a way to extend Revis, please.

You didn't mention OL, which probably needs at least one more player, probably 2 if they decide to let Moore walk.

I'd love to trade down in the 1st round and pick up additional picks. A trade with Chicago (#20) would be perfect IMO if they want to move up for Eric Fisher. Take their 20th, 2nd and 4th rounders.

Depending on what we get for Revis in a trade I would probably upgrade Austin as well.

Worry about QB in the 2014 draft.

If I or any person with a brain was the jets GM a year ago there is NO WAY i would even THINK about giving mark sanchez an extenion.. A UNCUTABLE extention at the very least.. I would be helping Mark pack his bags and wishing him luck that he finds a backup position somewhere..
