Time to sign Ahmad Bradshaw ...
He can be our main running back while splitting carries with Powell and McKnight. He's a legit #1 and he runs as hard as anyone in the league. Versatile guy who can block and stats don't show his true value. Get him ...
Yes he has foot problems but we managed Landry exceptionally well this past season. Bradshaw is worth adjusting for like Landry was. He would be huge for the offense ... |

No. Just no.
|
not for nothing but Bradshaw is still better than any back currently on our roster
|
How could he be the main running back and split carries with two other guys?
:dunno: |
Let's get Randy Moss too
|
Better yet ... Lets sign TERRY Bradshaw ... He's about as useful.

I like Bradshaw's toughness and 4.5ish yards per carry. But the guy fumbles (3 lost this past season; 10 over the past 3 seasons), is hurt often and will cost more than Powell and a rookie RB draft pick combined. Not needed.

Chronic foot problems. Coming off surgery.
|
If they do, promise you'll change your name to AhmadIMnotDONE?

I'm not a Giant hater as many of you in NY/NJ understandably are, and I love all football so I catch as many games as I can, and the one thing that many people are missing in their analysis of Bradshaw is just how much of a malcontent the guy is.
Normally, I'm all for a guy who just wants to win, even at the expense of being a jerk (see my numerous posts about Jay Cutler)...but on a rebuilding team like ours, with youngsters and no decisive leader, it doesn't make sense to have a jerk RB (much different than a jerk QB) up in age and mileage, with serious injury concerns, looking for some good money. Add in the fact that this is a very good draft class for a WCO RB in later rounds, and its a no-brainier to pass on him, even if he is decisively better than anyone currently on the team. |
The RB class in this year's draft is strong. So what should we do? Sign an overrated, injury-prone back who will probably want more money than we can afford.
Stop it already. |

Yes, he's a good player. But a good draft pick can do what he can do, and for less money. |

Every time a player, who has seen success in some form, is cut from another team - people on this forum insist the Jets should sign him to solve that particular position problem on the team.
Why should the Jets acquire other teams' garbage? Alex Smith makes more sense than Bradshaw, and Smith is a bad, knee-jerk idea as well. |

With all the crappy FA signings by the Jets, you'd think the majority of fans would focus on the draft instead. |

Truth is, the team is awful. It needs a major overhaul. Even if you brought in Peyton Manning, there would be tremendous issues left open. Jets are in rebuilding mode. Look at the draft, and work hard to improve yourself. |

You stole my thunder, John. Why must there be a thread to sign every player who is cut from another team??? Maybe we could put an end to this nonsense by just having one sticky thread entitled "Sign these beasts!" |
