You can beat a lot of teams with strong Olines & good defensive front 7s.
If Hill can take a huge step this offseason, a trio of Holmes, Hill, Kerley & maybe Edwards is at least good enough as long as the Jets get another RB in this draft like Lacy or The kid from Stanford.
I want Idzik to go into this draft with 2 year mindset!
1st year, this draft, soldify the trenches, that's where the real talent is in this draft.
OLB, OL, or Star, that's the only way they should be looking at this.
Every year there are vets that get cut that can add experience & depth to a team.
In 2009 & 2010 the Jets were very much like the 49ers up front on offense.
Just think about how good that Oline was, they literally carried Sanchez Azz to 2 AFCCGs!
Of course our defense had a lot to do with that too. Now that we have seen the REAL Sanchez, what could an average QB do if we build the Oline into a powerhouse again?
Someone like Moore could probably hold the fort, or maybe even Macelroy?
Give Mac, a good running back, a more complicated Marty screen game, and who knows how many games you can win in 2013.
In 2014, this is when you go all offense with LB, safety sprinkled in.
If they Jets can get a 1st this year from say Tampa & another pick in 2014 they would have an excellent chance at rebuilding while giving us fans something to cheer for.
I want an Oline that when they get in he redzone they can punch u right in the face & dominate.
