I honestly think the Giants - Jets comparison is perfect evidence for anyone like SAR who think that the jets dont have talent, and that Sanchez wasnt the cause of our atrocious season.
The sanchez supporter constantly say how bad Tanny/Rex are and that our "terrible contracts" are what caused the team to suck....well lets take a REAL look at the Giants personnel.
Chris Canty for example was given a 6 year $42 million deal that resulted in 9 sacks with the giants and missed 15 games in 4 years due to injury.
For comparison, lets look at Calvin Pace, the brunt of incessant whining on this board. Pace also signed a 6 year $42 million deal and has 28 sacks as a Jet and missed 8 games.
Corey Webster signed a 6 year $43 million deal just to get torched all year last season. Is Cro a better signing there?
Kyle Wilson, widely referred to as a "draft bust" here has never missed a game in 3 seasons, while the excellent drafting by the Giants of Prince Amakmura has resulted in him missing 12 games in 2 years due to injury.
The difference here is that the Giants have a top QB who bails them out and WINS games for the team. It doesnt matter if he loses Nicks, because he makes Rames Barden look like an all pro (9 catches 113 yards in his 1 start).
