There are also several articles claiming Gruden is mulling over a huge offer from Tennessee which includes a piece of ownership of the Cleveland Browns in addition to $4-5 million annual salary.

(Knoxville, TN) News Channel 3 has learned former NFL coach Jon Gruden has a contract offer in hand from the University of Tennessee and a decision could be made as early as Wednesday.

Part of the offer is Gruden getting a piece of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, who were recently bought by Jimmy Haslam III, one of UT’s biggest boosters.

Are you nuts? No coach in college makes close to that.
Saban is highest paid at $5.6 million, and it drops quickly from there. (Meyer is at #4 at $4m)

Even in the NFL, no one comes close to $10m with Belichick being the highest paid at $7m per.

Beli is at 7.5 and there are about 4 others at 7.

Gruden will make 8-10 to get him out of the booth.

The owner, the GM, the players, etc. No way he looks at this Jets franchise as a great landing spot after years away from the game. It is going to take a perfect situation for him to come back, and this ain't it

Understand. But he has a lot of HC experience in the UFL (I know its not the NFL) and AFL (winning a couple championships as HC) but it still is higher than college plus now he's been an OC for 2 seasons in Cincy. He was also on his brothers staff in Tampa
