Well things worked out nicely for the Jets here. Thanks to the Pats for giving Houston the motivation to play hard the rest of the way. Lets hope they take both games against Indy and KC ends up playing spoiler in a couple of weeks.

Just another way for the Jets to make the playoffs.

You are correct. As a matter of fact, the Texans have motivation as long the Patriots keep wining. The Texans are one game ahead in the conference standings, if they they want home field throughout, they have win to stay one game ahead of the Pats.

Also this week they will be very motivated, because they still haven't clinched the division.

The Colts and Sid Luckman losing both those games to the Texans could be quite helpful

Of course the Jets have to win out and that will not hshappen in both Nashville or vs the Chargers if ee play the first half like dog turds as we have the last three weeks

That will be all the talk because right now the Pats are the best team in the NFL.

They proved that last night.

If the Texans want to have any shot beating the pats they really need to change their defensive front a bit.

Between mercilus, reed (when he is back) and barwin, they have enough "
stand up rushers" to allow watt and smith to play DT and literally have everyone else standing up and moving around and rushing from different spots while mixing in zone coverage underneath.

Truthfully for as good as the pats were last year, this team is just so balanced and they are playing without gronk. Not sure who in the AFC really can get them down.

They're the best team in the NFL this week, but not this season. I'd easily put the 9ers and, yes, the Texans over them.

Based on what?

The Pats made the Texans look like frauds last night, and all that without Gronkowski.

They will also embarrass the 49ers on national television next Sunday night.

Pats are hitting their peak at the right time.

silly statement! bad calls are made in all games, good teams over come them, something the jets don't do.

Never said Pats Lose = They stink

Just re-affirmed my view that as long as Belichick and Brady are in NE, I look at anything the Pats* do with suspicion. Beli's a good coach, and Brady is a great QB.....however, they showed what lengths they are willing to go to to win...no one will convince me they have a clean program now, especially with Ernie Adams still haunting the building. Once a cheater.....

Your defense is surviving off of turnovers. When that stops (and it will), your D is going to go right back to being a big negative to Tom and the Offense.

The 9ers D is big, tall, fast, and young. Their linebackers include Ahmad Brooks, NaVorro Bowman, Aldon Smith, and Patrick Willis. Their D line is headed by a strong NT in Isaac Sopoaga and an excellent DE in Justin Smith. They're going to take away that middle of the field that Brady and Company strive to exploit, and they'll be hitting Tom hard and often.

Your DBs are going to have to cover Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham (brings back the nightmares, doesn't it?), Randy Moss, and Vernon Davis all while trying to stop the 9ers great Oline and RBs Frank Gore and LaMichael James. If that isn't hard enough as it is, you've also got the dual-threat in Kaepernick who is lightning fast AND has a big time arm.

Sorry, but the Pats just aren't as good as the 9ers. If you want to make a case for best team in the AFC, then you're completely in the right to do so because other than Houston and Denver, I don't see anyone better than the Pats. But, best team in the NFL?

The sooner the public becomes aware of Kraft unhealthy relationship with the league ... The better. Wink.

Yes, strange things happen. Don't forget that Houston's D is without one of their stars in Cushing.

Houston's defense hasn't been the same since Brian Cushing went down and their secondary has been a sieve the last month. They'll more than likely hang onto the #1 spot in the AFC and they'll beat whoever they play in the second round (Baltimore, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh or Cincinnati), but they'll get their clocks cleaned by Denver or New England in the AFC Championship Game.

yes that ONE turnover is why the pats shutdown the number 6 offense in the league.

Listen, will they beat the 49ers? who knows.

But if that's a different defense than was out there the first half of the season.
