Was in section 17 tonight. Devils looked awesome. Tampa is one of the top teams in the conference and the Devils just pushed them around. Very impressive.

I expected the Devils to be fine after losing Parise, but not to this extent. They are playing some fantastic hockey right now. Larsson looks great, so much smarter and tougher than last year. Greene is playing like a legit, top-pairing defenseman. Fayne seems like he never makes a mistake. They have built a great core for the defense for years to come. Hedburg has been phenomenal, he could easily be starting on another team. Very excited about this team right now.

Plus, Lou Lamariello and the entire Devil organization is the classiest professional franchise in north america.

He certainly seems to be loved in his hometown. I was up in Montreal last year for a bachelor party and it happened to be on a weekend the Devils were playing there. We stayed a few blocks from the Bell Centre and I couldn't believe the amount of Brodeur jerseys I saw walking around.

Crap... I just realized I missed todays game. Went to a Sasuke training gym today in Ft Smith and have been distracted. Did the Pens lose? If so, I'll take my crow with tapenade, Tabasco and a side of gravy.

Same score as yesterday, 3-1 Devils. Pens were the better team in the first, yet trailed 1-0. Then Devils smothered them the rest of the way. Very similar game to yesterday, even putting the score aside. Very satisfying sweep of the home and home on this end, after the Pens embarrassed the Devs last weekend.

Over 20% of the sched has been played. Devs look like a team that has the legs to go the distance. Doesn't seem a fluke to me.
