Ive been saying this for ever and getting brow beat by many on this board.

The Conner pick is simply a PERFECT example of how REX does a $hitty personnel job.

We go to kentucky for a LB and come back with a POS full back and CUT Woodhead to make room?

THAT is not the protocol of winning teams.

So explain what Jerry Jones was doing with the Cowboys in the 90's . They coincidentally won 5 super bowls but had one of the highest paid rosters of the decade. If you want quality you will have to pay for it!!

First they built that team that won the superbowls before the salary cap was implemented, so he could spend all he wanted there was no free agency so the quality players you collected could never leave. You have to be under 25 not to know this.

You can sign all the free agents you want but until you get a winning QB you won't get to a Super Bowl. There are no 2006 Chicago Bears type of teams in the NFL right now that can get to the Super Bowl with a mediocre QB.

The Redskins are living proof. Snyder kept swinging for the fences in free agency but didn't win the division till he got that franchise QB who can change a game with his ability.

There was no salary cap and the Cowboys got a ton of draft picks in the Walker trade but there was Free agency. In 1990-1992 Freeman McNeil was the lead plaintiff in a case won by jury verdict that struck down the NFL's Plan B free agency system, under which teams could protect 37 players. McNeil and the seven other plaintiffs were among the protected players listed by their teams. The system was deemed too restrictive and a violation of antitrust laws.
