This is too funny.

Sanchez had that for most of his 4 year career, and he was still a bottom feeder NFL QB.

Seriously though troll...

RB's Gore/Hunter > Jones/Old LT/Greene

WR's Crabtree/Manningham/Moss/Jenkins/Ginn/Williams > Holmes/Edwards/Cotchery/Hill/Kerley/Gates/Schilenz/Mason/Plexico

TE's Davis/Celek > Keller/Cumberland

I don't think there's one offensive skill player from the Jets that would suit up on Sundays for the 49ers. The talent level is not even close...

Frisco has the best Offensive Line in the NFL and whoever is #2 may not be close. Staley, Iupati, Davis -all very good players. Plus Vernon Davis is also an excellent blocker who seals the edge as well as being a an excellent receiver.

Meanwhile our O-line is currently bottom 5. Brick has regressed and actually looks exposed when you don't have a blocking TE or blocking RB to help him. Slauson and Howard are JAGs. Moore is overrated and getting old. Mangold is fine but I don't think he's the best Center anymore.

But hey our backup QB does love Jesus.

Who cares about Smith vs Sanchez debate? Alex Smith was awful his first 5 years in the NFL and only got 8 million chances. Sanchez was ok his first 3 years in the league yet most Jets fans, no life Pats trolls and the media are declaring him El SuperBusto.

Real debate is Cassell vs Sanchez. Cassell f'n sucks the one and only thing he can do effectively is that quick throw to the slant that's how he made his money in New England and got casual and know-nothing football fans to think he was the next Brady.

Cassell also has more playmakers on offense than Sanchez... that's sad. If Sanchez had talent like Bowe and Charles to help out the offense would be better. Sanchez makes a lot of mistakes, but who the hell ever makes a play on this offense? Receivers can't catch unless the throw is perfect and even then they drop their share, OL can't protect or run block consistently, and Greene is a 3rd stringer on any other team in the league.

The lack of offensive talent on this team is disgusting...

Why are we even arguing this point? They are both mediocre and average.

I feel bad for Bowe. He would probably be considered a top 5 WR at this point if he didn't have Captain Checkdown throwing to him his entire career and idiot head coaches like Todd Haley and Romeo.

KC also has a better O-line than Jets when they're healthy. They added Eric Winston this season.

Uh, look up the numbers before you make dumb statements. Smith's numbers were very similar to Suckchez early on. Yes, Smith had a couple really bad years, but he also had some decent ones with very bad teams around him. Sanchez came into the league with the top D and running game, yet he was still awful.

I think Smith completed over 60% in his 4th year (2 of those years he only played a handful of games).

Yes, Smith was awful early on, but Sanchez was equally as awful with better teams.

Yeah Sanchez was so awful he almost went to the Super Bowl 2 years in a row and had a 28-20 win/loss record first 3 years in the league. Favre had the same running game, OL and defensive personnel yet he couldn't even make the playoffs.

I saw plenty of Alex Smith has first 5 years in the league he was horrific - worse than Blaine Gabbert. Watch the games buddy. ESPN soundbytes rarely tell you the story.

Except for the FACTS omitted. What's so successful about almost going to a Superbowl 2 years in a row? And does Sanchez deserve the credit for the team getting into the playoffs to begin with? The team was a Colt laydown away from being 8-8 and missing them entirely.

And wasn't Favre hurt with a torn biceps tendon in his right shoulder the last 5 games of the season when the Jets went from 8-3 to 9-7? You must remember, it was the same year the Jets were fined $125,000 for cheating by failing to disclose the injury which they knew about after Favre had an MRI on the shoulder.

Actually, I was referring to the fact that Alex Smith SUCKED ASS. I'm not arguing the other points.

In fact, Alex Smith would STILL suck ass if you put him....say...on a team that DIDN'T have Gore, Davis, etc.

He's the exception though. And unless you want to call him elite, there has never been an elite NFL QB from USC (at least, none that I can think of).
