Tanny hired Sparano

I think this got overlooked. On the CBS pregame show Boomer Esiason said that Rex did NOT hire Sparano, Tanny made that decision. That's pretty interesting since most here think that Rex hired Sparano.

Rex wanted him as well. Whoever did the "hiring" was just a formality. By all accounts they both were on board.

Rex should have said ..." I respect tony as a coach, I hope his OC skills reflect the passion he has for the game. He deserves this opportunity." ... Rex is not smart enough to understand this concept.

And Adam Scein said today that Rex was so excited to have Sparano as the OC because and I quote "he is the exact mirror of myself in offensive philosophy."

Schein on the Jets post game said Rex did.

And Rex, Sparano and Tebow all have the same agent-Jimmy Sexton

Schein also said that the Landry signing was awful.

Spin

Spin

Spin.

Spin.

Rex loves to tale the accolades. Now, he must take the fall for Sparano and myriad errors made the last two years.

Schein is pretty much the most clueless two legged creature in the media...I don't think he knows how to tie his shoelaces no less any inside stuff about the Jets

What does Boomer Esiason really know about what went on behind the scenes? I mean seriously they act as if they are in the conference rooms and offices with them when these decisions are made. I would prefer to believe this was Tanny's decision since he is the one going. And does Rex even care who'd be the OC? He proclaimed ground and pound as the offensive philosophy but he also would have had Favre, Cutler and maybe even Vick. Who knows.

And - it's not like they had a long list to choose from anyway. Todd Haley apparently wanted no part of this team.

But that is an opinion as opposed to reporting what happened.

If Schein wasn't in the room when the decision to hire Sparano was made, then that is only an opinion, and not reporting, too.

Rex has no offensive philosophy. Unfortunately. That is a large part of the problem.

He said Rex told him to his face. So if it isn't true Rex is lying. Again

He said Rex said it in a press conference.

A NFL coach lying at a press conference!?!??!?!?!

Say it ain't so, Joe!!!!!!!

Again, he wasn't there. He doesn't "know" anything. He "knows" what someone told him. That's all.

It's still not the same as saying a player signing is bad. Thats his opinion of the signing.

He didnt say the Sparano signing was bad but just who made the decision. You can't grasp the difference?

Can someone explain to me why this is a bid deal.

All three should be fired regardless.
