Inside source: Jets interested in Mike Gillislee RB Gators
I own a cell phone business in his home town in Florida and I heard directly from his Mom and another source that Mike had been contacted by the Jets about potentially drafting him. Now I imagine he's on other teams lists also and the Jets have other backs also on their list but if he's available say in round 4 or 5 don't be surprised to hear this name again. I'm hearing he would be a good fit in Marty's offensive scheme. Fast but not the fastest , very strong, can catch out of the backfield and only cares about winning. He will play hurt. He would be a nice addition to the Jets.

20% chance he ends up a Jet, but I'll take this kid.

LOL...the same could be said for about 15 RBs in this draft class. It is hardly inside info that the Jets are looking at RBs this year.

Irregardless of the validity of the source, I like how Gillislee plays and hope the Jets are considering him.

He is an excellent value pick as he is a RB that really can do all 3 things (run, block, catch) but is not as well known as he sat for his first few 3 years behind to good players. Which also means less wear and tear on him....
Would be happy to see him in the 4th round area. |

There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno
Smith.

I'm sure the organization has contacted a slew of other RB's as well, but Gillislee does fit what we need: a three-down back. He can run, catch and BLOCK, something we didn't have from a RB in 2012 and something we haven't had in a three down back since 2009. Gillislee or Taylor in Round 3 would be superb, although I think Taylor will likely be viewed as a second round value soon.

After reading a brief scouting report he sounds like a complete back that can run, catch and block.

Gillislee is a Jamal Charles starter kit, I would love to see him in green in the WCO.

I think this kid would be a steal. Still hasn't reached his full potential.

Ball would be ok, but Lacy is going to get way over selected, and he is not a fit for WCO or any passing offense really.
There simply is no value in taking a Ball or Lacy in the 2nd round when players like Gillislee, graham, joseph randle etc are available in the 4th or 5th round. There are virtually no other positions where 7th round picks like alfred morris routinely outpeform top 5 picks like trent richardson. |

Too many negatives:
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/members...php?pyid=89581 ....dances too long at the line ....upright runner ....a bit slight for pass protection ....doesn't switch ball to the outside No thanks, he's just another jag and we already have too many of those. Like somone else posted here, give me Stepfan Taylor. |
