22nd Feb 1967, The Beatles were working at Abbey Road, London, recording the giant piano chord for the end of 'A Day In The Life' for their Sgt. Pepper's album.

I read Radiohead released Pablo Honey 20 years ago today as well.

Most impressive thing I remember from that ere (I was a we baby) was a comment that one of the Beach Boys made. They released an album that same year and were certain they would win a ton of awards and be recognized.

One was quoted as saying we then heard Sgt peppers and felt like losers.

The Beatles were just incredible creators of music.

24th Feb 1975, Led Zeppelin released their sixth album Physical Graffiti in the UK. Recording sessions had been disrupted when bassist and keyboard player John Paul Jones had proposed quitting the band, supposedly to become choirmaster at Winchester Cathedral, England, although in reality he just needed time to rest after Zeppelin's demanding tour schedule. http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/pages/physical_graffiti

27th Feb 2004, A worker in a supermarket in Aspen, Colorado alerted the police-after seeing a man shopping with his face covered by a mask. Police arrived on the scene and identified the man as Michael Jackson who was in town on holiday with his children.
