I never thought highly of him, but he probably wouldn't be worse than what we have now.

Would be a better signing than Brady Quinn (if healthy)

If he is healthy - a big if - I could get on board with this one.
Experienced, big, mobile with a big arm. Could be a decent stop-gap. |

If healthy Garrard has is a viable starter at least. Always put up good stats with nothing at WR. If he can still play like he did in Jax I'll take it. Problem is he hasn't played in a while so who knows what he has left.

Injured and old. This isn't a great option. His arm and some previous success hint that he COULD surprise us to the upside, but again, he was let go for a reason...and is now another year older.

Is Matt Moore really that much out of our price range? He's the no s*** guy we should sign

Better than Quinn at least. If he's healthy we could do worse for a one-year starter.

David Garrard hasnt played in 2 years. Brilliant! Rex will be gone and we will have the #1 pick in 2014. I love Idzik!

Love what I'm seeing.
While Garrard and Quinn are no HOF QBs its the best available competition at QB in the eyes of Idzik Hopefully Revis will be gone for a few picks sending a message to the team that holding out and being selfish is not a part of this organization anymore Next, bye bye Rex Could the inmates not be running the asylum anymore? Let's hope.............. |

There is nothing out there.
Let Idzik do his job and take what he can get. At least add some kindling underneath #6's feet since most likely we're stuck with him for another year. There is no RG3 to draft, there is no free agent, and the Chiefs had much better picks to deal for Alex Smith. Everyone lay off the new GM because he is literally doing what he can to create some competition. |

By bringing in guys like Garrard and Quinn, he is making it look like hes trying to improve for 2013 but in reality, tank city is in full bloom.
Brilliant. Offensive HC and 2014 #1 draft pick here we come. |

lol, why are people down on this? He would have been Miami's starter last year had it not been for injury in camp. We're not going anywhere this year, and he's not bad for a stopgap. Everyone needs to quit thinking we're going to sign some super rare mega franchise QB off FA, cause it's not going to happen.

Previous years the Jets did everything possible, actually went out of their way to not bring in any competition and have the worst possible backup alternative, this is real progress, even if these guys are jags.

Keep repeating it this way you'll be highly dissappointed when they win 6-8 games this year. I can't believe the posters here who already have the Jets with the 1st pick in 2014 w/o even seeing the draft or the final 2013 roster yet. |
