For the Bills, both quarterback Trent Edwards (groin) and defensive end Aaron Schobel (foot) did not practice for the second consecutive day this week. With both starters still sidelined, it is very likely that neither will play against the Jets this Sunday.

Earlier this season Edwards appeared to be blossoming into the talented quarterback the Bills envisioned when they drafted him in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft (97.3 quarterback rating in first six starts) but he’s faded just as the Bills have. Aside from a 121.0 quarterback rating in a 54-31 win over the Chiefs on Nov. 23, Edwards did not record a rating above 79.3 over his past six starts. J.P. Losman (one touchdown, two interceptions) would start in Edwards’ place.

Schobel has recorded just 19 tackles and one sack in five starts this season.
