The Jets released their final Week 1 injury report on Friday afternoon, and it settled most of what had been unclear during a short practice week. Two players are out at Tennessee, two more are doubtful, and the running back room that drew the most attention all week came through it clean.
Joseph Ossai and Tim Patrick are out for the Jets’ season opener at Tennessee with foot and groin injuries. Kene Nwangwu and D’Angelo Ponds are doubtful. Breece Hall, Isaiah Davis and Kenyon Sadiq practiced fully all week and carry no designation.

Which Jets are out against the Titans?
Two, and both had been trending that way since Wednesday. Joseph Ossai is out with a foot injury, and wide receiver Tim Patrick is out with a groin injury. Neither practiced on any of the three days.
Ossai’s absence is the less surprising of the two. We reported on September 2 that he had ruptured his plantar fascia and was considered week-to-week; he has not practiced since. The team has not put a return timeline on him beyond this game, and we are not going to invent one.
Who is doubtful, and what changed on Friday?
Kene Nwangwu is the new name. He does not appear on the Wednesday or Thursday reports at all, then shows up on Friday as a non-participant with a back injury and a doubtful designation — the sequence of a player who was hurt late in the week. The Jets have not said how it happened.
Rookie cornerback D’Angelo Ponds is the other. He was limited on all three days with a calf injury and still drew a doubtful tag, which is the report telling you that limited participation was not enough to clear him.
Is Breece Hall good to go?
Every indication on the report says yes. Breece Hall is still listed with a groin injury, but he was a full participant on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and he carries no game status. A player with no designation is, by the league’s own definition, not in doubt.
The same is true of Isaiah Davis, who was a full participant all week with a knee injury. With Nwangwu doubtful, those two are the backfield.
One note on Kenyon Sadiq, who is also a full participant: Friday’s official report lists his injury as a groin, while the team’s own practice notes earlier in September referred to a hernia. We are reporting the official designation and flagging the difference rather than resolving it ourselves.
What does the Wednesday column actually mean this week?
Less than it usually does. The Jets did not hold a practice on Wednesday, and the team says so directly on the report: Wednesday’s participation levels are an estimation rather than observed reps.
That matters for reading Ponds and Ossai in particular. An estimated “limited” is a projection of what a player would have done, not a record of what he did.
Which Titans are on the report?
One is out. Linebacker Cedric Gray did not practice all week with a concussion and is ruled out. Defensive end Keldrick Faulk was a full participant on all three days with a shoulder injury and carries no designation.
