Game Preview: Jets (0-1) Vs. Patriots (0-1)

Okay, so that first week didn’t go very well. All things considered the second half was rather encouraging but that first half was an outright disaster. Most alarming was the inability of the offensive line to generate any type of push in the run game. The poor pass protection was to be expected, maybe not…

Jets Drop Season Finale To Patriots, Finish 4-12 On The Year

Poor redzone play combined with inept play from the defense forces the Jets to fall for the second time this season against the Patriots, losing 38-3 and finishing their season at 4-12. Bill Belichick has never allowed a rookie quarterback to beat him in Foxboro since he took the gig with the Patriots. That did…

What Good is Stability and Consistency When it’s All Consistently Bad?

Here we are again, discussing yet another meaningless platitude of outdated thinking because that’s how it should be. The New York Jets are going to fire their head coach, but not yet because they don’t want to “disrupt the stability” for Sam Darnold and here I am, scratching my head in utter disbelief and amazement…

WATCH: Breaking Down Jets vs. Patriots

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – With week 6 upon us, no one in the NFL stratosphere ever thought the Jets and Patriots would be playing for first place. The Jets were supposed to go winless and were a lock for the top pick in the 2018 draft. The Patriots are coming off another Championship and are…

Jets claim DE Kony Elay

Bill Belichick and the Patriots couldn’t make it work with defensive end Kony Ealy, but now Todd Bowles and the Jets want to take a crack at it. Of all the positions the Jets could use to improve defensive end is nowhere on the list, but if Easy can help them and a pass rusher…

Harris signs with rival Patriots

You knew this day would come, right? From the moment future Ring of Honor linebacker David Harris was cut by the New York Jets after an intense OTA workout on June 6, the stars aligned perfectly for the inevitable to occur. Harris has reportedly found a new home – in New England – according to…

Rex Ryan on Belichick’s pushing accusation: ‘That’s not true’

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Rex Ryan fired back at Bill Belichick on Wednesday, responding to a claim by the the Patriots coach that the Jets used the same illegal pushing tactic that New England was penalized for on Sunday. “That’s not true. That’s not true,” said Ryan, who has, for the most part, played nice…

Jets grab controversial win over Patriots in OT

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – A rule’s a rule. Bill Belichick may not like it. The fans may not have known it existed. But for Rex Ryan and the New York Jets, a controversial call may have just saved their season. Winless in their last five games against New England, the Jets managed to claw their…

Rex Ryan on the Patriots: ‘We fear none of them’

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The New England Patriots tend to bring out the best in Rex Ryan. At the microphone, that is. Despite a 3-7 record against Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, Ryan never seems to disappoint when discussing the rival Patriots. Whether it was his refusal to kiss Belichick’s rings during his inaugural press…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
