Jets Overwhelmed by Bills 45-17

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – If you were lucky enough to not watch the game you might not realize just how bad the Jets were today. Sure, you see 45-17 and think ‘the Jets must have been awful’. And you’re correct, but also somehow it’s even worse than you think. Without even knowing how bad you…

Jets’ Decision to Roll with Young Corners Shows a Further Commitment to Development

Early in camp, Bless Austin was a core part of the Jets’ defense. Austin was consistently getting first-team reps, across from second-year cornerback Bryce Hall, and was seemingly separating himself from the rest of the positional group. As mentioned in an earlier article on August 12, Robert Saleh said Austin had “a dog’s mentality” and…

Zach Wilson Shines in Jets 23-14 Preseason Win Over Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. – For the second straight week the Jets played a preseason game against mostly backups. More importantly though, Zach Wilson looked good for the second week in a row. Only this time he looked great. Wilson finished the game 9/11 for 128 yards (11.6 YPA), two touchdowns and no turnovers or sacks….

Three Observations: Day 7

Another Jets practice, another day of Carl Lawson and Elijah Moore demanding our attention and adulation. Every single day they show up and show out. Then the next day I think, ‘we get it, Moore and Lawson are dominating, but what about the rest of the team? That’s fair and correct, but dammit these guys…

Jets conclude draft with Kentucky CB Brandin Echols and Arkansas DT Jonathan Marshall

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: the Jets used a pair of late round picks on defenders with impressive athletic profiles.  The Jets clearly hope to strike gold by getting players have the athletic potential to play above their draft slot. You buy enough lottery tickets, you’re sure to hit the jackpot at…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
