Three Stars and Three Disappointments of Training Camp

Florham Park, NJ— Today was the last day of training camp, and the team looked worn out from weeks of practicing under the summer sun. Today’s practice was mostly about preparing for the Giants, with scout team offenses and defenses going about 30% on the starting offense and defense. Now that camp has broken, here…

Training Camp Week Three: Back To Basics

Florham Park, NJ – After a disappointing loss in Washington, there are still some unanswered questions facing this Jet team that better get answered quick. The Jets got back to work today to right the ship. One of the key areas that needs to be addressed is the offensive line which committed numerous penalties and…

Washington field goals enough to beat Jets, 15-13

Landover, MD— Everyone was in preseason form today, including the Washington marching band, who struggled mightily to maintain the “Hail” they attempted to form, with band members almost running into each other before the game. That carried into the game. Only the miscues came mostly from the Jets, in particular the offensive line. It is currently…

T-Minus Two Days Until Jets Pre-Season Opener

Florham Park, NJ – With the Jets first pre-season game two days away, all eyes are on the team to see if they are ready to play. Practice has progressed and intensified to reflect how the players will perform in real game situations. Loud music was played once again to give players a sense of crowd…

Three Observations: Tough Decisions Ahead for GM

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Jets are light on name-power at the top of the roster, but Mike Maccagnan is going to face some tough decisions when cut-time comes. The Jets still have some fairly big holes in the roster (notably at offensive line and pass-rusher), but when you look at the depth of positions such…

Jets Positional Preview: Offensive Line

The Jets offensive line was a weak spot for the Jets last year, and I’m personally still haunted by this play from 2016, which can only be described as “how not to play offensive line”. The Jets offensive line is ranked 31st by Pro Football Focus coming into the 2018 season, and for good reason….

Brandon Shell, Jets Teammates Embrace Season of Giving

Brandon Shell knows what it’s like to deal with challenging times in life during the holiday season. He grew up in a household where he wasn’t fortunate enough to get all the things he wanted. While his friends played with their new toys, footballs and showed off their new jerseys, Shell watched from a distance…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
