Rodgers and Morton Review: Week 15

Florham Park, NJ – There were plenty of stories for the offense and defense heading into New Orleans last Sunday. Bryce Petty made his 2017 debut as the starting quarterback for the Jets after Josh McCown broke his hand. It was a less than stellar debut for Petty as he went 19-for-39 for 179 yards, a…

Mercedes-Benz Superdome, LA- Bryce Petty threw two interceptions, while Saints running back Mark Ingram scored twice as the Saints beat the Jets 31-19 to officially eliminate Gang Green from the playoffs. Morton and Rodgers Review: Week 14

Florham Park, NJ – Last week’s 23-0 performance for the New York Jets was disappointing. In addition to losing their starting quarterback Josh McCown, the Jets couldn’t score a single point against the Denver Broncos. Offense, however, wasn’t the only aspect they struggled in. The Jets’ defense couldn’t beat the Broncos in the one defensive area…

Florham Park, NJ: After laying a goose egg in Denver last Sunday, the New York Jets look to get back in the win column with a new quarterback under center. With Josh McCown done for the season due to a broken hand, Bryce Petty will begin his second – and perhaps final – audition as franchise…

McCown out for year, Petty to start

Florham Park, NJ – Josh McCown has had the best season of his career, but after being hit repeatedly by the Denver Broncos his 38-year-old body couldn’t take the punishment anymore. The Broncos got to McCown early and often, knocking him out of the game briefly in the first half only for the veteran quarterback to…

Mile High Meltdown: Jets shutout by Broncos, 23-0

DENVER, CO: This was a meltdown in the Mile High City. For the first time since 2014, the New York Jets were shutout in a regular season game, falling to the Denver Broncos, 23-0. From start to finish, the Jets were outplayed, outhit and outcoached by a Broncos team that lost eight consecutive games. Though still mathematically…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
