Coaching Friendship put on hold this Holiday Season as Chargers/Jets Faceoff

Throughout the NFL,  the bonds of coaches are incredibly strong. Some coaches were assistants under current NFL Titans decades ago, much like Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh and now-Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid. Harbaugh was an assistant under Andy Reid in Philadelphia in the early 2000’s. With the Jets set to do battle against the Los…

The NFL began the tradition of playing two football games on Thanksgiving Day since 1920, when the NFL was first established. The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys host every year while a third game…

Penalties Hurting Jets’ Chances of Winning

Florham Park, NJ – Penalties are part of a football game. An NFL team can go an entire game without committing a penalty, as the Pittsburgh Steelers did in 2012 against the Dallas Cowboys, but that takes a lot of concentration. For the New York Jets, avoiding penalties has not only been tough, but it has…

Jets Release S Gilchrist, Re-sign LB Carter

When the Jets drafted two safeties in the first and second round of the NFL draft this past weekend,  the writing was on the wall for veteran safeties Calvin Pryor and Marcus Gilchrist. The team declined Pryor’s fifth year option for the 2018 season on Tuesday and he is no lock to make this year’s…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
