Three Observations: Practice Seven (2019)

Florham Park, NJ – Today was a fairly uneventful practice, not too much to talk about but that won’t stop us from trying. There was a brief scare towards the end of practice when Trumaine Johnson ran into Jamal Adams. Adams dropped straight to the ground, which got everyone’s attention, but it turns out he just…

Jets Positional Battles: The Fight for the Back of the RB Depth Chart

As we sit in the “down” period of the football calendar, we look ahead to training camp. Specifically we look ahead to position battles. Why? Because those are why we watch training camp workouts and preseason games. We want to know who is going to make the final 53 man roster. Otherwise we would just…

Jets Drop Season Finale To Patriots, Finish 4-12 On The Year

Poor redzone play combined with inept play from the defense forces the Jets to fall for the second time this season against the Patriots, losing 38-3 and finishing their season at 4-12. Bill Belichick has never allowed a rookie quarterback to beat him in Foxboro since he took the gig with the Patriots. That did…

Jets Lose 44-38 in OT After Blowing 4th Quarter Lead

The Jets lose a wild one in overtime 44-38 after a 16-yard dime pass from Aaron Rodgers right into the breadbox of Davante Adams sealed the deal. To get their first road win of the season, the Packers needed a lot of help from the Jets defenders, and they got it- the Jets had 16 penalties…

McGuire Will Be a Key Piece Going Forth

In a season filled with disappointments and letdown, one name on the offensive side of the ball could be coming into a major role for the foreseeable future. Sophomore runningback Elijah McGuire proved last week he’s capable of handling larger reps with an increased role within the offense. Let’s face it, the Isaiah Crowell experience…

Victory Monday: Darnold Mounts Comeback

The New York Jets broke their six-game losing streak with a comeback victory over the Buffalo Bills thanks to the play of Sam Darnold. It’s understandable that some Jets fans would be disappointed that the win took them from having the inside track on the number one or number two pick in the draft, but…

Jets Edge Bills 27-23 In Meaningless Classic

Orchard Park, NY – The Jets won a thriller on Sunday in western New York, where frigid temperatures and a re-injuring of his sprained foot failed to keep Sam Darnold from getting the win. He showed a lot of chutzpah on the game winning drive, throwing for 51 of the 66 yards gained on the drive…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
