The Ideal Tank

Florham Park, NJ – Two weeks remain in the 2018 NFL season and normally at this point, the Jets are playing meaningless games. Meanwhile, fans are embracing the tank and looking at scouting reports of players in the NCAA. The Jets have already been eliminated from playoff contention with a record of 4-10; however this…

Victory Monday: Darnold Mounts Comeback

The New York Jets broke their six-game losing streak with a comeback victory over the Buffalo Bills thanks to the play of Sam Darnold. It’s understandable that some Jets fans would be disappointed that the win took them from having the inside track on the number one or number two pick in the draft, but…

Jets Edge Bills 27-23 In Meaningless Classic

Orchard Park, NY – The Jets won a thriller on Sunday in western New York, where frigid temperatures and a re-injuring of his sprained foot failed to keep Sam Darnold from getting the win. He showed a lot of chutzpah on the game winning drive, throwing for 51 of the 66 yards gained on the drive…

The Cost-Benefit Analysis of Playing Sam Darnold

Florham Park, NJ – Sam Darnold is recovering from a sprained foot, and the injury was bad enough that he had to wear a boot. For the average person it takes six to eight weeks to recover from a sprained foot, and Darnold is in his fifth week of rehabilitating the injury. He should be just about…

Week 14 Preview: Jets (3-9) @ Bills (4-8)

The New York Jets continue their miserable season on Sunday visiting their division rivals Buffalo Bills. The Jets are coming off one of their heart-breaking losses of the year to the Tennessee Titans 26-22, after blowing a 16-0 lead.  The Bills lost to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday by a score of 21-17. It’s been…

Redemption Time For Sam Darnold

Florham Park, NJ – The New York Jets are on a six-game losing streak and at this point just riding out the season, looking towards next year. The team has been a mess on both sides of the ball and there is no spark to create any sort of drive for them. The one thing to…

Jets Continue to Embarrass Themselves

I’m running out of ways to say that the Jets are bad. I’m a writer so I shouldn’t have much trouble finding new and creative ways to explain why something can be so embarrassingly bad, but eight years is far too long to be able to come up with new angles to describe the ineptitude…

Titans Take Down The Jets 26-22; It’s The Same Ole’ Jets

Nashville, TN- When the Jets jumped out to an impressive 16-0 lead, it looked like they were fighting for a playoff berth. All cylinders were kicking in. The offense went back to passing and running the ball effectively, the defense went back to picking off the QB for a pick six and the special teams…

WEEK 12 PREVIEW: JETS (3-8) VS TITANS (5-6)

Five games left in the season and the Jets will look to right the ship against Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans. Five losses in a row has left the locker room puzzled searching for answers while the reality is, both sides of the ball are simply not getting it done. The Jets offense will…

Jeremy Bates Play Calling Hurting Jets In More Than One Way

The Jets stand 3-8 on the season with a what looks to be, a meaningless game against Tennessee this week in Nashville. Their lethargic offense will hope to get back on track after five straight games of less than 20 points, all resulting in a loss. Everything usually starts and ends with coaching, which applies…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
