Three observations: Day nine

Florham Park, NJ – On the first full practice after the news broke about Quincy Enunwa being out for the year the offense had one of their better practices. It still wasn’t all that great; false starts, problems getting the correct play call and interceptions but the good was about as good as we’ve seen all…

Three observations: Day six

Florham Park, NJ – The offensive performance today was better than it was yesterday, in fact it looked to be pretty good until they went to red zone situations again and the offense stalled. Josh McCown found Quincy Enunwa for a touchdown with Buster Skrine in tight coverage, Enunwa did a great job and showed off…

Three observations: Day Five

Florham Park, NJ – On day five, things got messy. Really messy. Today was a mistake-filled practice, from the offensive side of the ball at least, and it wasn’t pretty to watch and the players and coaches were frustrated by their overall performance today. Maybe it was the off day yesterday, that tends to happen in…

Three observations: Day Three

Florham Park, NJ – One day three the pads came on. The day the pads come on is always one of the best days of training camp and today was no different. We still have a long way to go until camp breaks, but today was certainly a whole lot more fun than the last two…

Darron Lee no longer the ‘young pup,’ ready to breakout in 2017

When training camp 2016 kicked off for the New York Jets, Darron Lee quickly became David Harris’ “young pup.” Lee’s first lesson from Harris: “don’t take the cheese.” Fast-forward to the summer of 2017. The Jets, in full rebuild mode, cut ties with several veterans – including the man who was like a father to a…

Amid legal uncertainty, LB Mauldin staying focused on season

On June 11, the New York Post reported that New York Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin allegedly assaulted a man at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
