Three Observations: Practice 10 (2019)

Florham Park, NJ – Today was the day of the switch. The defense got to wear the green jerseys, the offense forced to wear the white. Look good, play good they say and the defense looked so good that they won the day. Leonard Williams was held out of practice with an “irritation in his hip,”…

Jamal Adams: Elite Defender and Culture Changer

While the Jets have found new different ways to sink lower this season, the one constant high has been the play of Jamal Adams. On Monday it was announced that he would be headed to the Pro Bowl, along with teammates Andre Roberts and Jason Myers. The Pro Bowl may be a pointless exhibition that…

The Blame Is On Everybody, Including Maccagnan

While the Jets have found new ways to lose games consistently on Sunday, the focus on poor coaching should be intertwined with the lack of consistent talent on both sides of the field, a direct result from substandard drafting during GM Mike Maccagnan’s tenure. 2018 was supposed to be a learning curve season, filled with…

WEEK 12 PREVIEW: JETS (3-8) VS TITANS (5-6)

Five games left in the season and the Jets will look to right the ship against Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans. Five losses in a row has left the locker room puzzled searching for answers while the reality is, both sides of the ball are simply not getting it done. The Jets offense will…

Week 9 Preview: Jets (3-5) vs Dolphins (4-4)

The Jets travel to Miami for week nine to face their division rival Miami Dolphins for the second time this season following a crucial two game losing streak. In week 8 the Jets offense looked flat and lethargic at times against the Bears, totaling 207 yards against a Khalil Mack-less defense. Now they face a…

Jets Injury Riddled Roster Becoming an Issue

Florham Park, NJ – With the news coming Wednesday that running back and longtime veteran Bilal Powell was headed to the season ending IR list with a neck injury, the more the reality of the Jets being outmanned sank in effect. GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
