New York Jets Notch Another Loss, Initial Thoughts

The New York Jets showed a couple of flashes before reverting back into the same old 2019 Jets. Another week, another loss by the New York Jets. 29-15 was the result this time, as the Jets began the “soft” portion of their schedule. Or so they said anyways. I’m sure 1-6 is far from what…

New York Jets vs. Jaguars Look Back: Divisional Playoffs 1998

Jan 10, 1999 was a special day for the New York Jets as they marched over the Jaguars on the way to the AFC championship game. 1998 was one of the best seasons in New York Jets history. Bill Parcells led the team to a 12-4 record, and an AFC East division title. This gave…

New York Jets Lose on a Rough Night Against the Patriots: Initial Thoughts

It was another night of growth for the young New York Jets. The New York Jets showed they still have a long way to go in losing big to the New England Patriots. Here are some brief initial thoughts: Trumaine Johnson can’t cover anyone. Let’s get that straight. I don’t care about an interception on…

New York Jets vs. Cowboys Look Back: September 11, 2011

It was a night to remember when the New York Jets took on the Dallas Cowboys back in 2011. Last week it wasn’t easy to write the look back last week since the New York Jets hadn’t ever beaten them. So, we went with the closest thing, the 1996 team actually leading in the fourth…

New York Jets: Blame Adam Gase but not Only Adam Gase

There is plenty of blame to spread around when reviewing the New York Jets offense. As a New York Jets fan for well over 30 years, I have seen my fair share of putrid play. 2019 has been about as putrid as it gets so far. OK, it has been downright embarrassing. There are times…

New York Jets: 31-6 Loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Initial Thoughts

The New York Jets had to face a tough team in the Philadelphia Eagles. It looked like it when watching the Jets offense. That was ugly. The New York Jets looked ugly in that so-called football game. The Jets lost 31-6 but frankly it could have been 62-3. That’s how bad the Jets looked. It’s…

The 1996 New York Jets nearly won their second game of the year against the Philadelphia Eagles late in the season. Time for the weekly New York Jets flashback. You can check out the version from the bye week right here. I’ll admit, this week’s feature was a tough choice, due to the fact that…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
