Jets Trade Sam Darnold to Panthers

The New York Jets have trade Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers for three draft picks. The Panthers gave up a sixth-round pick this year and a second and a fourth in 2022. There are no conditions on those picks, they will stay as a second and a fourth. And most importantly Jets fans and…

What Would/Should Jets Do If They Got First Overall Draft Pick?

Let’s start this conversation by admitting it’s way too soon to be having this conversation. But I was asked some version of the question before the season started and got many more versions yesterday. There’s no reason to think these questions will go away anytime soon. The Jets will continue to look bad and depress…

Season Preview: This Could Get Ugly

The NFL season kicked off last night in Kansas City. The Chiefs are still a juggernaut, the rest of the league is simply trying to catch up. The Jets aren’t tanking, but this season is about building for the future far more than winning this year. The Jets currently have over $30 million in cap…

The Jets can’t afford to play it safe in the Draft

In the year of our Lord 2019, no quarterback attempted more passes under pressure than Sam Darnold. After the departure of Robby Anderson, his cast of receivers are currently among the worst in the entire NFL, with guys like Breshad Perriman and Vyncent Smith being counted on to contribute in starring roles. And so, it…

The Top 5 Robby Anderson Moments: a Tribute to the Sun God

Robby Anderson is a free agent for the first time in his career, and it’s very possible that he leaves the Jets to sign with another team. The excitement Jets fans have for this season has been bubbling up to the surface, ready to erupt in cheers for the team in their new shade and accents of Green and White. Three Observations: Practice 10 (2019)

Florham Park, NJ – Today was the day of the switch. The defense got to wear the green jerseys, the offense forced to wear the white. Look good, play good they say and the defense looked so good that they won the day. Leonard Williams was held out of practice with an “irritation in his hip,”…

Three Observations: Practice Eight (2019)

Florham Park, NJ – Everyone is excited about the signing of Ryan Kalil but he did not join his new teammates today and according to Adam Gase, you shouldn’t expect him to practice anytime soon. “No. It’s going to be a minute,” Gase said. “We’re going to make sure that he’s good to go before he…

Three Observations: Practice Six (2016)

Florham Park, NJ – After an off-day yesterday, the Jets were back out on the practice field and they were with Jamison Crowder. Crowder tweaked his foot during Monday’s practice, Jets Twitter immediately started freaking out only to find out he wouldn’t even miss a single practice. He was a full participant in today’s practice and…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
