Check-in day: “Every year feels different”

Florham Park, NJ – “Honestly every year feels different, you know it’s something Muhammad Wilkerson told me when I first came in as a rookie, he said ‘every year is going to be a different team’ and it’s true. Every year I’ve been here so far it’s been a different team and you just have to…

Jets Positional Preview: Offensive Line

The Jets offensive line was a weak spot for the Jets last year, and I’m personally still haunted by this play from 2016, which can only be described as “how not to play offensive line”. The Jets offensive line is ranked 31st by Pro Football Focus coming into the 2018 season, and for good reason….

Preorders start at 4 pm, Jets have lots of money and lots of needs

Free agency officially begins on Wednesday but the NFL’s legal tampering period begins at 4 pm today. The legal tampering period is sort of like having the ability to place a preorder before the sale officially begins. Teams can talk to player’s agents and discuss the framework of potential deals, agreements can be reached but…

Preview: Jets vs Falcons

East Rutherford, NJ – Week 8 of the NFL season pits the New York Jets against the defending NFC champions Atlanta Falcons. Last Sunday, the Jets relinquished a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter of their 31-28 loss to the Miami Dolphins while the Falcons dropped their Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots, 23-7….

DL Kony Ealy Making an Impact on Jets D-Line

Since being claimed off of waivers Kony Ealy has been a pleasant surprise so far for the New York Jets this season. When the Jets claimed Ealy from the New England Patriots, many questioned the move. The defensive line was stacked with Leonard Williams, Muhammad Wilkerson, and Steve McLendon. Not to mention Sheldon Richardson was…

Give Mike and Todd credit, this strong start is on them

It started with a culture change. Conflict was erased. Drama left the building. A team-first mentality was preached. In came the decorators. “One Team” was painted on one wall. “One Goal” donned the other. These aren’t your father’s circus New York Jets. Changes were made. A drastic roster overhaul brought mixed emotions to the Jets…

Jets looking for chances against Cutler’s Dolphins

Four months ago, he was about to prepare to be a color commentator for FOX. Many had labeled his career as one with immense potential but could never put it together. He was run out of Chicago and traded away from Denver. Now heading into his 11th season in the NFL, Jay Cutler has a…

At least there’s a few bright spots for the future

The Jets got molly wopped by the Raiders yesterday, we all knew that was the most likely scenario, and if you’re looking for positive spin about this season then, sorry I can’t help you there. But what I can do is give you some positive spin for the future. Whether you’re team tank or anti-tank…

Big Mo needs to be a big factor again

Florham Park, NJ – There was a time on One Jets Drive when Muhammad Wilkerson represented the future of the New York Jets. He was a bright light in a dark tunnel. Combined with Damon Harrison and Sheldon Richardson, the defensive line was the green and white’s bread and butter. Throw in Leonard Williams and opponents…

Jets have to deal with different beast at RB in Week 2

When it comes to preparing for game day, almost every team tends to focus on one key player on the opponent’s sideline and tries to neutralize him from making an impact on Sunday. The difficult part is once the job is done, coaches and players have to gear up for the next week to prepare…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
