Jets Get a Head Start on Free Agency, Trade for Kelechi Osemele

The legal tampering period of free agency begins at noon today, teams can start negotiating with players and their agents at noon today but can’t schedule visits or “officially” agree to deals until midnight when Wednesday turns into Thursday, but Jets GM Mike Maccagnan wanted to get a head start on the transactions. The Jets…

Jets Release Spencer Long

The Jets have just freed up an extra $6.5 million to add to their cap space. They did so by releasing Spencer Long. Long was due a $3 million bonus if he would have been on the roster three days after the Super Bowl so the Jets made the move to release him now to…

No Need to Overthink This, Sign Le’Veon Bell

There’s exceptions to every rule. In this case the rule is, don’t spend big money on running backs. It’s a good rule, scratch that it’s a wonderful rule and should be followed closely unless you can make a perfectly logical case for why in a certain, specific situation an exception should be made. Going into…

How to Spend $100 Million Dollars for Sam Darnold

The Jets have a bright future if they play their cards right this offseason. The good thing is, the Jets have about $100 million cards as of right now, and a very high draft pick. I ran a free agency simulator to see just what the Jets can do this offseason. First, then I would…

The Blame Is On Everybody, Including Maccagnan

While the Jets have found new ways to lose games consistently on Sunday, the focus on poor coaching should be intertwined with the lack of consistent talent on both sides of the field, a direct result from substandard drafting during GM Mike Maccagnan’s tenure. 2018 was supposed to be a learning curve season, filled with…

What Good is Stability and Consistency When it’s All Consistently Bad?

Here we are again, discussing yet another meaningless platitude of outdated thinking because that’s how it should be. The New York Jets are going to fire their head coach, but not yet because they don’t want to “disrupt the stability” for Sam Darnold and here I am, scratching my head in utter disbelief and amazement…

Week 10 Preview: Jets (3-6) Vs. Bills (2-7)

The New York Jets return home to East Rutherford this week to host their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills. After their 13-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Jets now hold a record of 3-6 and sit at third in the AFC East. The Bills are below them at 2-7 and suffered a…

Time For Changes

Florham Park, NJ – Sunday was a tough day for the Jets as they fell to the Miami Dolphins for their third straight loss. The defense kept the Jets in the game limiting the Dolphins to 168 yards and two field goals. However, the offense endured a world of hurt and rookie quarterback Sam Darnold…

Jets Beat Themselves, Again

Rinse, wash, repeat. Rinse, wash, repeat. Like Tupac Shakur’s introduction to the world, it’s the “Same Song.” Incompetence reigns supreme once again with the New York Jets and another quality defensive performance is wasted by an offense that can’t get out of it’s own way. Life in the NFL is hard enough for a 21-year-old…

Jets Lose to Dolphins 13-6; It’s Officially Headrolling Time

On a muddy Hard Rock Stadium field the Jets lost to the Dolphins 13-6. The field didn’t look as bad as pregame reports might have indicated, but it was certainly been bad enough to impede offenses. The two teams combined for 15 punts, tied for third most in any game in NFL history. Today was…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
