Three Observations: Tough Decisions Ahead for GM

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Jets are light on name-power at the top of the roster, but Mike Maccagnan is going to face some tough decisions when cut-time comes. The Jets still have some fairly big holes in the roster (notably at offensive line and pass-rusher), but when you look at the depth of positions such…

Jets Positional Preview: WR’s

The large number of receivers being brought into camp is in part to shore up the shoddy return game the Jets have had since the loss of Brad Smith and Leon Washington and to help an offense that ranked just 24th in passing yards despite good years from Jermaine Kearse and Robby Anderson. The quarterback…

3 Observations: Day 2 of Minicamp

Minicamp is mostly about the arduous process of learning the playbook and applying it on the field as a team. GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
