‘Folk Hero’ struck again when Nick Folk kicked a game-winning 42 yard field goal and there weren’t too many people happier about it than linebacker David Harris.

Harris was in an interesting mood after the game, as he fielded questions about the game he kept circling back to discuss his gleeful feeling of watching Nick Folk kick the game-winning field goal.

Harris was asked about the sequence of events leading up to Folk’s game-winning kick, including the failed 56 yard attempt and the unsportsman like conduct penalty against the Patriots Chris Jones that made the game-winning kick possible, Harris said “I’m just happy that Nick made the kick.”

What’s it feel like to finally break the streak of losing to the Patriots?

“I’m just happy Nick made the kick.” Harris said.

Considering most people picked the Jets to finish with four or less wins for the entire season does it feel that much better to knock off the division rival Patriots?

“Our goal is to win every game, not just against division rivals… And I’m just happy Nick Folk made the kick.” Harris said.

When JetsInsider asked if someone were to ask about Antonio Allen’s pick-six are you going to say you’re just happy he made the pick? Harris smiled and said, “Yup and I’m happy Nick made the kick.”

And off Harris went, exiting the locker room and no doubt giggling to himself about a joke that he had no intention of fully explaining to the media.

The Jets will try and downplay this win against the Patriots as just another game, but it’s reactions like this that let you know this game meant a little more than just any other game. However there was one player who wasn’t too shy to admit this win was a little extra special, rookie quarterback Geno Smith.

“I think every single win is graded out about equal, but I think this one means a little bit more to us. You could just get that feeling in the locker room and around the community.” Smith said, “Everyone knows about this rivalry. I think it’s a great one because it’s always two well-prepared teams. They usually know one another and it takes a last second field goal or something like that in the end.”
