EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Mike Goodson, the troubled RB who after problems with the law and a league suspension, was finally done in today with a severe injury to his knee. Goodson will get an MRI tomorrow but sources close to JetsInsider.com say that the injury is serious and season ending.

Goodson hurt the knee on a run in the 4th quarter and had to be helped off the field. The injury happened after starter Bilal Powell was shaken up earlier in the quarter with a shoulder injury. Powell’s injury originally looked like it could be serious but he spoke to reporters after the game in the locker room and said he’s fine.

The injury to Goodson is big blow to the Jets offense that is in short supply and starving for play makers. In the short time that he was back with the team he showed glimpses of the talent that led the team to sign him as a free agent this past off-season.

WR Clyde Gates also left the game with a hurt shoulder and CB Kyle Wilson was removed with a head injury. The severity of those injuries are unknown at this time.

UPDATE Monday 12PM: Mike Goodson confirmed this morning on Twitter what we reported last night that he indeed tore the ACL/MCL in his knee and is gone for the season.
