FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Jets today announced the signing of former 49ers WR Quinton Patton. Patton. The 26 year old 6 foot, 208 lb Patton, who was originally a 4th round pick of the Niners in 2013, had his best year as a pro last season by catching 37 balls for 408 yards.

The signing of Patton has been rumored since the weekend after he visited the team. No contract details have surfaced as of yet.

Patton brings more veteran depth at the WR position which is needed with the recent departure of Brandon Marshall.

It’s likely that new offensive coordinator John Morton helped in the decision to sign the WR as Patton played for him while Morton was in San Francisco.
