Preview: Jets (5-6) vs. Miami Dolphins (5-6)

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Mired in their longest losing streak of the season (two games), the Jets have just five games remaining in the 2013 season to right the ship, prove they belong (or don’t belong) in the playoffs, or start preparing for next year. Jets can’t bounce back in ugly loss to Ravens

BALTIMORE, MD – A new streak ended and an old one endured in Baltimore. And that means bad news for the New York Jets. After falling to the Baltimore Ravens, 19-3, on Sunday, the Jets failed to follow a loss with a win for the first time all season and dropped to 3-17 when facing…

Preview: Jets (4-4) vs. New Orleans Saints (6-1)

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Jets have keep a pretty consistent win-loss, win-loss pattern going this season, so if it holds, they should pull off a thrilling victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Jets grab controversial win over Patriots in OT

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – A rule’s a rule. Bill Belichick may not like it. The fans may not have known it existed. But for Rex Ryan and the New York Jets, a controversial call may have just saved their season. Winless in their last five games against New England, the Jets managed to claw their…

Preview: Jets (3-2) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4)

Florham Park, NJ – This is what football types like to call a trap game. The Jets, coming off an impressive comeback victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, are at home on a short week to take on the winless Steelers. It seems like a gimme win, a no-brainer, a tune-up before Tom Brady…

Writing on the wall as Mark Sanchez hits IR

Florham Park, NJ – The moment the Jets drafted Geno Smith, the clock started on Mark Sanchez’s time left in green and white. Late last night, his time ran out – unofficially, at least. Jets routed by Titans, 38-13

Nashville, TN – With the defense playing about as well as anyone could have hoped through three games, the powers at be knew the Jets would go only as far as their rookie quarterback could take them. Great expectations: Jets are silencing doubters

Florham Park, NJ – The Jets were a bad football team a year ago. Like inventing a new word for bad, bad. They were 28th in the league in offense, 30th in passing and their usually dominant defense sprung leaks, ranking 26th against the run. Football Outsiders ranked the Jets 27th in total DVOA and…

GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the sea GASE HINTS AT CHANGES TO THE OL. At 0-3 on the season, nothing has gone right for the Jets this year. Losing their starting quarterback to mono has grabbed most of the attention but even when Sam Darnold returns there will still be a glaring problem making his life harder. That problem is this offensive line has been a disaster. On defense the Jets have some issues at cornerback and obviously miss the presence of C.J. Mosley, but the defense has mostly help up. Losing Quincy Enunwa and dealing with Chris Herndon’s suspension (he will be available to return after the Eagles game) has left the backup quarterbacks with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios as the receiving options. But by far the biggest problem has been the play of the offensive line. Read more of Chris Nimbley’s article on www.jetsinsider.com Photo by @manishgosalia #nyjets #newyorkjets
